My Childhood Amusement Rides

When I was a kid, I'm so fascinated at roller coasters. It was my first time at an amusement park and I was 7. I keep telling my older brother that i'll take the roller coaster as many times as I can. But luck aint with me that time, it was closed for safety reasons. Instead, we took the log ride and lastly the Anchor's away.. I love the log ride.. it wets my entire body and gives me a new refreshing start. I hate the Anchor's away it scares the living shit out of me, like it pulls me when it goes down...

I never knew I can apply those rides to me now... Like my life is a mixture of rides... and I'm in a big amusement park..

The Log Ride...

It may look scary at first but hey! it wasn't! It starts by sitting in a log shaped boat and it goes down to two ramps... One small one which can give you a tickle on your tummy and one super long and high one that when your on your way up, It will scare the living shit out of you...

The low one was okay... Nothing... just a little tickle on your tummy.. a little pain.

but as you move along... It gets bigger, higher... the one that you can't escape. You cant run from it or you'll die, you fall from it, you die too. The only way is for you to face it and the only way for that to happen is for you to fall like seriously fall! and after you'll be refreshed by this wave of big water that's serves as a welcoming like saying " Hey you encountered the ride! Congrats! New life!"

I took it 8 times I guess... thanks to my brother... When I was a kid, It was just a ride to me. But now, I guess I can apply it in real life!?

We face different types of pain, arguments, and in the end, separation... Whether by death or end of something, it separates us to something we don't want to be parted but it just has to. I refer my pain to this log ride, It was long actually... and you have to go around only to find two ramps.. first was the low blow... It was shallow, only a prickle, it wont drag to you much and it would be over easily. But no... It aint over... you will move forward only to be dragged more higher and there's no way for you to escape. The drop hurts too, but this time more lasting and life changing. Just when you thought it will last, the pain goes away unexpectedly, in this case of the log ride, it get washed away, and when it dried up, your a new person....

Anchor's Away

I seriously hate this ride! Seriously..

Was 13 years ago since I took this ride for the first time. And until now, for me, it was the worst 2 minutes of my life. My brother told me it was fun, turns out it will scare me more... damn evil egg boy! damn evil indeed!

2 minutes of hell...

First it just rock you back and forth like in a swing.. which feels good like your in cradle or something. Then after a while it will take you so high that it would be harder for you to fall. And as time goes by it will take you higher and higher that when you fall you think your soul was pulled in too...

22 years of living...

We meet people who will give us ups and downs... Some will pull you up, some will pull you down. Like in the ride, at first it is just a minor swing. But as time goes by, this people would pull you so high that actually is a good feeling and some people will really pull you down and it hurts like crap. Hurts more when you are intentionally pulled up only for you to go down and it turns into a cycle of pull up and pull down.

Basically, my life is a big amusement park and those two rides is just two of the rides that is what makes my amusement park colorful. It doesnt matter if I like the ride or i hate the ride it's just there. I learned from the two of my good friends ( Thank God I met them!) the art of " let it be". Its there... those rides are there, and I cant do anything about it. Might as well just let it be and just be and life my life in this big amusement park.

Let it be, it hurts, its good, its challenging, just let it be....

I know some of you who are reading this thinks that its one of my thoughts about Peter... please lah! haha the guy had enough already and it doesnt meant that my life revolves around him that I have to be connected to him every single thing I say/post. Lately, I've been partying more than usual like sometimes 3 times or 2 times a week when my minimum before is once a month. And most of the time, well actually always I'm at The Butter Factory at One Fullerton. Sometimes, from partying, I go to work.

I met a lot of great friends in butter too! and there's nothing more fun than having good company in partying! Booze actually is just an added bonus esp when I want to get high and shake the floor by jumping endlessly in my 3 and 1/2 inches shoes =)

And no matter how much alcohol the gave me, I wont have a hangover the following day =) How the hell I do that!?

MIND OVER MATTER

If you know you can do it, you really can do it! except flying of course or any non-sense that you think your invincible or something. =)

There's no problem to having fun but they have limitations, and there's no problem exceeding them too =) quite the adventure actually =) I've been to some clubs here in Singapore but for me The Butter Factory is the one i'll always go back to.

If people give a damn and give me bad impressions cos I party too much, or I'm a party girl, a flirty girl whatever =) all I can say is " Thank you haters!" haha I dont really mind what other people say I just party and have fun. So go party too!!! life is too short not to enjoy the good things in life! and partying is one of them =) these people ain't bringing you down, they put you on a pedestal so they can hate you but actually they are praising you by being envious of your happiness". Let them say shit cos in the end a truckload of crap is waiting for them haha

See ya at Butter then! Now i go hibernate for Wednesday's ladies night... Friday's awesome night, and Saturday events.. hahaha

Heart versus Mind

Sometimes... Its quite funny how our minds decides what we should do while our heart contradicts it... And most of the time, our heart wins. Nice...

Here we are in our normal routine and suddenly fate gives you something challenging...

I was doing my usual task at work when a colleague approach another colleague of mine and gave her a paper. She didn't approach me first so I have to ask her what it is and turns out its a survey form for a thesis paper. Oh no big deal just a survey form! WRONG!!! Turns out the paper is for "him" and he needs it badly for his study and he needs it by tonight.

If I'm using my head, It would go like this:

" Oh okay... Why won't I help a bloody bastard who makes me cry like shit, hurt my feelings so deep that it left a very deep mark, ask to meet me to settle only to be a cowardly shir with no balls to meet me and make me like a psycho stalker to everyone!?

but.. If by my heart, it would go like this:

" Hmmm... past is past.. Its the last paper... He needs all the help he can get and he desperately need it tonight.. Lower your pride bitch and show pity anyways at some point despite all the pain and suffering, the bastard still make you so happy right!? This time help him out... Help comes in unexpected places anyways."

Yes! Yes! Yes! this news has been so last year but... all i can say is...

HE JUST LOOK LIKE AN AVERAGE CUTE KOREAN BOY-BOY! seriously!

Met him last time at The Butter Factory for Singtel and Butter factory's Booty Call with DJ Andrew T at Bump VIP. Was there with my friends and having the best Champagne Showers of our life when suddenly a group of koreans came and we are all like " WTF!?" since when our group got koreans!?

Most of them are girls and only one guy and the guy caught my attention cos he's wearing a funny looking hat. Intoxicated with champagne and vodka, I had the guts to talk to him... and when I approached him, he told me " I dont speak English" crap! for me! have to use hanggul then!

He's quite nice but I really have no idea who the hell he is! all i know is that he's cute =)

Next day came... and I received a sms from one of my friends, " An you were with TOP last night" and for me I'm like " who the f is that!?"... Sorry mei-meis out there I dont really know who he is.

Turns out he was one of the members of a popular korean boyband and now one of butter's dj was cramped with questions about him... um hello people! he was at VIP! hahah the dj was spinning all night... >.<

But the news spread quite fast some even complained like " I pay 300 plus dollars to get as much close to him ( say 10 feet!?) and some people just paid 30 to party with him!? UNFAIR!!" --- well sucks for you sis! hahaha we didnt expect him to turn out there.

but sucks for me too... I didnt even know who he was... no picture or anything just memory... never mind.. I didnt came there for him anyways came there to party... =)

At some point of life, we look back in the past and ask ourselves why shit things happened when they all start quite nice and quite romantic and cheezy actually... Mine did... always have..

I woke up from my power nap before going to work as I wasted enough time already to get my renewed IC (Identification Card) ( Yes! we need it here in singapore). I woke up from a dream I didnt even expect... Its a about a boy who just came randomly in my life but made my life a rollercoaster. I know I'm supposed to forget about him, and sometimes I do... but fate has its way to mock me and him so our paths crossed... not once, not twice but quite a lot of times.

Even in reality of dreamland, his treatment to me is cold with his gaze full of hatred and I kept thinking why should I care?! he's the one who gave me a lot of pain... but still inside me, still searching of answers.. Why!? we started out okay, but ended up quite bad...

Lalaland is the term he used for Dreamland... Twinkie Winkie is sleep; silly terms to raise the child inside me... all is now memories..

I dont know why people come and go and make a big impact in our lives... but we should learn from it and move on... Big words, easily said... quite difficult to do...

Seventh month is here... please.... no more bad lucks...

Yes, I know it's been a while and I've been very busy with my very chaotic life here in the small red dot country... Singapuraaaaah oh Singapuraaaaaaaah!

This past few weeks I noticed something!

My schoolmates has been conquering the Lion City! Seriously! hahaha its like they leave what they had back home and venture to another world. =) I'm meeting two of them soon and I'm guessing I'll see more soon I'm so exited!

Of course Im a bit new ( bit new okay!? =P) but I kinda miss, oh wait I miss them a lot, college days to be exact! Its just so fun to see them to bring back my good old memories =)

Guess the philippine government was right all along that many Filipinos choose to work abroad and most of them are newly graduates.

The feeling of being betrayed is the most suckiest feeling you'll get but basically what does being "betrayed" is?!

~ It is when you trust a person, and that person do something bad or worse, do horrible things to you or another person that matters to you behind your back or even in front of you but in a sneaky way in which you are not aware of the deed.

It hurts a lot when someone did this to a certain individual and the first thing you want to ask is "WHY?!"

If that person if a friend of yours, it will hurt more, sometimes they say they didnt do it intentionally but for me that is "crap"... If they dont want it to happen why let it happen??

Its been hmmm almost 6 months that I'm staying here at Singapore and Im adapting to the Singapore life =) though some find it not-so-easy to adapt, its fine with me. Although there are pro's and con's in staying here, based on my opinion, ( my opinion okay) here are the pro's and con's of singapore.

Pros

1. Safety. seriously you can walk in the night without worrying that a monkey eating robber will take your precious iPhone away.

2. People don't give a damn what you wear or what you look like.

3. Time is 10 times faster than usual especially when your working. Fast paced if you ask me.

4. Generous servings of food, seriously! but quite weird cos most Singaporeans are skinny. I wonder if they have worm shots or something.

5. Very convenient to go around with MRT and buses and the CEPAS (ez-link) card there's no line in purchasing that train ticket that Philippines have and saves time!

6. They are on time! when they say start at 2:30; they will really start at 2:30

Cons

1. Their "lah", "leh" , "meh" and sometimes the way they pronounce words like ply lay which means Fried rice. Or instead of the simple How are you in Singlish, its HOw you leh? complicated? not so much, maybe a bit.

2. When it comes to relationship, it rarely lasts for a long time seriously it dont! Even the government is trying to hook them up, which is weird.

3. Those aunties and uncles that curse foreigners seriously! If they can reproduce then no need for foreigners right!? and why blame everything on the foreigners?? even flood, a simple traffic jam and even the mrt!?

4. NS for guys. seriously not unfair for me. I've been to military training too!!! and its mandatory to all students to undergo army training so cut the crap that its just for guys and girls cant stand it. Ns also is the number one excuse for either breaking up with their girlfriends or the cause of broken relationships.

5. SINGAPOREANS LIKE TO COMPLAIN! A LOT! From cold dish, to slow buses, to 2-5 minutes traffic jam and even when you smile and for them there's no reason to be happy wtf right!? No contentment if you ask me.

Note to all: These are my opinions only but whether its negative or positive, and people might react on it, don't care! get your own blog to put your thoughts it really helps. But even though Singapore has its advantages and disadvantages, I still like to stay. Oh well...

♥ Bagfriend versus Boyfriend ♥

I've tackled this yahoo post ages ago and I can't help commenting on it, but on my blog of course =) so the big question is...

" Is it okay for your boyfriend to carry your bag while walking in town"

and my answer is a big YES!!!! =)

Come on guys and gals! cut the crap of being in the 21st century, traditions and a lot of silly comments people put from their wide imagination.

What's wrong being a gentleman?! Guys just want to treat their girl as their princess in which it includes sparring them from their heavy handbags but please girls, If you really love/like your man, spare him the humiliation from your heavy and weird looking handbag.

This includes handbags that has pastel colors, hearts, lacey and beady, PLEASE if its really heavy, then leave some of your stones in your house. And also for those guys who are forced to carry these monstrosity bags, JUST TELL YOUR GIRLS (IN A NICE WAY) that you feel uncomfortable carrying these bags, and girls please have an open mind on this.

But in this world, there are so many opinions, some are absurd and just weird or some makes sense but honestly, this is just a simple matter between a girl and a guy in a relationship.

A note to girls: Please as much as possible carry a bag that you can really carry. If there are things in the bag that are not necessary, don't bring them. A complete makeup kit is a big no-no, a compact, lipstick/ lip gloss, blusher and an eye liner is all what you need to retouch. And please, give your man a bit of his masculine part and dont let him carry your pink colored- hello kitty bag complete with lace and hearts, you get the picture.

A note to guys: please please please If you don't want to hold our cutesy handbags, speak uP! honestly we appreciate it than holding it with a grudge. I honor the gentlemanly act of men when they handle their princess' bags but please it also have limitation.

This debate has been running for ages and with both sides battling their opinion. So basically some are okay with it some are not. So bottom line, for those who are against it, fine, for some who are okay with it fine also. Its just an opinion anyways. =)

One thing I noticed in sg, their serving is just monstrous! No wonder its expensive to get something here. ( but not all things are expensive)

A good example would be this coke my brother bought for me in Iluma, It's as big as my head? very rare to find like something like this in the Philippines.

I know I'm getting bigger these days cos after a hectic student life there's nothing to do but eat, sleep, poop, drink, surf net, blog;

so since I dont have much to do and a few days left in The Philippines,

here are some finest yoghurt here in the Philippines =)

Went to Tutti Fruti, a yoghurt stall in my usual mall that opened recently.

Price is Php 20.00 /oz.

Rules:

Pick from 8 flavors of yummy yogurt from the yoghurt machines in the wall.

Put any syrup you want, chocolate, strawberry, caramel, yam, coatings, you name it they got it!

add some fruits and gelatins

add some candies, nuts and sprinkles any way you want.

weigh and pay!

Here's mine composed of

Yam and Strawberry Cheesecake Yoghurt

Wallnuts, Choco Crispies, Coffee Jelly, Mandarin Oranges

Merengue Bits, Toffee Bits, Wallnuts, Caramel Syrup

and Yam Coating..

This monstrosity cost me Php 230.00; expensive yes! worth for the money?

SO WORTH IT!

If a first time customer walks by here and saw the Php 20.00 per oz sign and they have no idea what oz means then they are in for big expensive dessert.

So basically the first thing to do here is to get a cup, and fill them with yoghurt machines on the wall, and the rest is history

Okay there are the rules but people seem not to pay attention to it maybe if they:

change the location near the confusing Php 20.00 per oz sign then things would be clear so next time I get my yoghurt, I wont hear things like:

" F*^$ why does my yoghurt cost Php 350.00 when your sign shows Php 20.00?"

" why is it so expensive?! you cheated you say Php 20.00 per yoghurt!"

3 words; Ask before you get! Just see how greedy these people get for a Php 20.00 yoghurt can do. But the owners were quite smart for putting the rules in a weird place. Oh yeah they are chinese! Good with business no wonder!

Medical tests can be a Big Pain

So since I'm leaving soon Mum decided for me to have some tests to make sure I'm okay, Ultrasound and Urinalysis. So we went to this clinic and they gave me these cups for urine sample...

but there's one problem...

Im not yet in that point of peeing...

Oh yeah forgot to mention my dad's last name, Fabrez which I rarely use due to personal reasons... so I prefer my mum's last name.

so back to the tests, since I was not yet in that peeing point, these nurses instructed me to drink 6 cups of water

O.O aiyooooo!

small cups? nah they are a pain! torture to be exact just after 3 cups I feel I want to vomit already due to too much water..

see? a bit pale here I really really want to vomit here after I had my 6th cup.

Oh and yeah I made it successfully for the tests and the tests turn out okay =)

it just sucks that I have to drink 6 cups of that water..

so I promise myself, no drinking of 6 cups of water in just 10 minutes!

so if you want to torture me, make me drank that much again... ={

JUSTICE FOR BRIAN LEYVA!

I know I never met him, but his brother is very close to my heart...

He was the best brother for him... Too bad some low life scum-bags took him away so soon...

Brian Limongco Leyva, a 28 year old Fashion Designer from Philippines. Although at a young age, he made fabulous creations worn by prominent stars and was featured so many times in magazines, runway shows and even in Barbie dolls.

but all of that are just good memories now.

Brian was shot last March 29 on his way home from the Gym few steps away from the safety of their home. He was shot in the head for the iPhone he fought hard for...

just for an iPhone....

He passed away on the 31st of March, the day after his Brother's and Yours truly's graduation.

May you rest in Peace Mr Brian Leyva, thank you for being a great Brother to Rey, for the wonderful gowns you lend to my tourism friends, and for the wonderful creations you've made for the filipino people, whether prominent or a simple part of the society...

Readers, please pray for his soul and may his family and friends have Justice for the murder of their beloved son, brother, friend, and designer.

Our first 20 Delegates for today, we didnt expect so many cos its just a pre conference.

Lunch today was Pan fried Chicken Fillet in a bed of asparagus in honey mustard sauce. Yummy! a bit overcooked but its fricking delicious! and the sauce was so good!

What is a "Baccalaureate Mass"?!

A baccalaureate service (or, baccalaureate mass in the case of institutions affiliated with the Catholic Church and its orders) is a celebration which honors a graduating senior class from a college or high school. The event is often, but not necessarily, of a religious nature, although it is almost invariably Christian.

According to our college secretary, This mass would be 1/2 or your college life and therefore should not be missed... let's see shall we?

With my classmates, Jenny and Jana during our parade oh and yes we have to tie our scarf that way to look like flight attendants.. wait I'm an Hrm graduate.. mix up maybe?!

We came to Razon's a popular place for halo-halo

Wait, what is halo-halo?

Is a popular Filipino dessert that is a mixture of shaved ice and milk to which are added various boiled sweet beans and fruits, and served cold in a tall glass or bowl.

If you ask me its like a filipino version of Ice kacang of Singapore

Okay lah 6 halo-halos will cost us....

My brothers treat! its the first time I saw them conscious at the price of a dessert.

What I love about this dessert in Razon's is that I am not rally into halo-halo and this simple version of their halo-halo is a miracle for me cos I was able to consume it all which is really a miracle for me!

kinda costly for a dessert but they say its so worth it so we gave it a try!

Taste was pretty average for me, It can be bought at a lower price especially during the christmas season in the Philippines, kinda costly too. Besides, Tom Yum and Sticky Rice with Mango, been craving for Chrysanthemum Tea so after class, decided to drop by the Supermarket to buy one...

but I bought not just tea but loads also...

Oooooooh! I finally can satisfy one of my cravings. Let's see what I bought.

I didn't get the brand of Tea that I like but hey at least I bought tea. It was difficult to look for them and I had to put extra effort in the drinks aisle just to find it.

My objective was to buy JUST TEA, but guess what? i bought also other things... guess girls will be girls. ( Okay not in general maybe just me)

Birthday Month For some...

Chinese Lunar New Year...

A reminder of how being single sucks...

and all that yapping...

I didnt really expect to get flowers this year cos first; I don't have a boyfriend. Second; I don't really have time to entertain a guy. And lastly; the guy who likes me is miles away.. literally... so Imagine my shock to get these...

Yes they are roses! 4 nice ones and No its not from a suitor or a boyfriend It's from a friend of mine to cheer me up cos I complained " I don't have roses this year!" - well it was a joke but he took it seriously well thanks man!

But for singles like me, Valentine's not so bad as I appreciate what love really meant.

Just like this rose... It may not be as pretty like the other roses out there, but, if you look at it clearly, one can see its beauty.

I just love blue roses. They are very rare and unique. Just like a girl right? or a guy. The petals outside are a bit crumpled don't you think so?

Sometimes rareness and uniqueness makes a certain person special its not all about beauty of the outside or what that person have, but what's inside matters most.

The name of the event was proposed by yours truly =) so happy they used it

The program started with a Freak show courtesy of my blockmate, Cathy. Yes she's scary but she did a great job! Kudos to Cathy!

Followed by a ballet performance by Kenneth. Yes her name is Kenneth or Ken; I know its a guy's name but hey it her name. Just Imagine my shock when I was expecting a Danseur and was given a ballerina instead... Kudos to Ken!

Our Ring master and our ballerina, welcomes you to a blast from the past, a nostalgic experience of childhood treats!

Let's start the show! and now the Organizers!

From the entrance, the entire class went to the cage in the stage. Freaking fast if you ask me cos we have to go there, go to the backstage and back at the entrance by 3 minutes or less.. how did we do it? walking fast of course!

Huey An's Duties for the Day!

Duty 1: Registration Girl

due to too much responsibilites that day, I didnt have the chance to have a photo of myself in these booths huhuh

I was in charge of registering the guests into our electronic registration for them to qualify for our e-raffle. I was also in charge of the selling of the tickets which requires loads of hard work cos of the six booths, Im the only one who sells ticket.. Had a great time =)

" Hi! Welcome to Le Cirque! How many tickets would you want to purchase?"

" Thank you and Have a blast at the nostalgic experience you'll never forget!"

Duty 2: As member of the Physical Arrangement Security, I'm so proud to belong to the group responsible for that remarkable stage. Kudos to Pas Com!

Duty 3: Reception Girl

I was in charge of handling tables 26-38 for lining up the buffet table and making sure things are in right order. Yeah I am the girl behind Rey's back =) I'm guarding him eheem! um guarding the buffet table beside him hahaha

Duty 4: Cup Cake Deco Girl

We had a mini game in which we invite guests to participate in our cup cake deco competition.

Okay besides by beefy arms ( yeah yeah ming I know hahaha) , the cupcakes gave me a hard time picking them up to put in my tray cost they are quite unstable. but luckily I got them all without ruining them.

Wah why am I picky these days?? I dont like eating pork, I rarely eat beef I am okay with chicken and I dont eat much rice. I prefer this actually =)

Even though they have this also in The Philippines, I prefer the maggi in Singapore cos it has less seasoning than they have here. Although my brother dun like this cos he says that it lack lavor, I like no, Love it =)
Best with egg in it =)

Valentines Day... I didnt expect to have a colorful valentines full of suprises =)

Yeah been busy at school since I'm graduating and all that, but that never stopped me from blogging=)

Went to visit my Godmother's house and found this cute japanese spitz puppy that belongs to my Godbrother. He is so cute and cuddly that's why I love to hold him and he doesnt stink like my dog hahaha

as I go down from the upper deck of my Bed, my mum surprised me with this gifts I never expect from her Friend in UK.

well I ask her for Man Utd Items but I never really expect to receive loads hahaha =D

After Exams

Preliminary Exams!? DONE ALREADY! weeeeeee

I'm so happy =)

My exams were quite weird this semester because it's not as difficult as I expected it to be compare to my other exams.

But due to the wonders of technology and social networking, FACEBOOK and of course blogging, It's quite challenging to study! seriously..

fact!; Most graduating students , when graduation is soon approaching, tends to be tardy studying their lessons and wished that they have that remote control Adam Sandler have so they could fast forward time to their graduation march.

Notice why my bed is so high? I'm staying in the upper deck cos one of my brothers is in town and he's using my lower deck.. I don't mind though I have my own space, but smaller =(

and yes I always put teddy wherever I sleep =)

GAY MUCH!? --- NOT!

Got some of the results of my exam yesterday! All of them passed with flying colors! yippee!

Tips for studying?!

- Minimize Facebooking; But never Blogging

- Forget the coffee; Try Ion or 100 Plus =) Crazy? Yehp! but that works for me!

- Don't read from the book, Get the key points, write it in a paper, and read that paper. Its more effective to study that way and much easier

- As much as you can, sleep.. seriously!

- If you forget he answer to question no. 1, its okay, If your taking a 100-items exam like me, it's okay! there's 99 more =)

and last but not the least..

THINK POSITIVE!

and stop saying things like " I'LL FAIL", 'I'LL BE THE LOWEST"

better shut the hell up cos there's a tendency that you will fail if you believe you'll fail!

Okay... TKO for now... I need rest for the following

- Director, Sayonara; short film ( really?!) - February

- School Event on February- One of the Organizers

- Research Methodology Paper Defense on february- Group Leader

- Strategic Management Paper on february-

Teddy and Me

Meet Teddy, no he's not Mr. Bean's Teddy; He's my Teddy for now...

I bought him for a mission but so far he's on stand by mode just to keep me company
especially during cold cold nights..

He cheers me up; I smile a lot but lately no, I just rely on Teddy lately to smile... see his smile? its so genuine unlike mine which hide the pain inside...

As I've mentioned, Teddy has a mission but he's on standby,
The mission was not for me but luckily it applies to me too..
